Meet Duncan Galton
Duncan has a broad family law, domestic violence, criminal, public, and administrative law practice.
Before the Bar, Duncan was an Associate in the Queensland Supreme Court, working on trial and appellate matters. After clerking at Murray Gleeson Chambers while studying for the Bar, Duncan commenced practice.
These formative experiences allowed Duncan to appreciate how the Bar can best assist stakeholders in the justice system by framing legal and practical issues on common ground. The mentorship Duncan received instilled an energetic and thoughtful approach to his work.
Upon being appointed to the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agencies’ Regulatory Prosecutions Division, Duncan further developed his expertise in disciplinary, fraud, and regulatory matters. Here, he deployed his advice and advocacy skills to resolve matters representing the similar but sometimes misaligned interests of the public and private sectors. Duncan uses the aptitudes, skills, perspectives, and experience developed over his career to advance the needs and resolve the difficulties of various stakeholders across public and private sectors.
